How Tiny Star Friends™ Began
Hello and welcome to Tiny Star Friends™.
The idea began one afternoon when I found two little toys sitting together in a second-hand shop. They looked so friendly next to each other that I decided to take them home.
I gave them a place on my desk. Whenever I looked at them, I started thinking about friendship, imagination and all the wonderful things children discover while growing up.
That was when a new idea began to form. I wanted to create two original friends who could make children smile. Friends who could play, sing and explore while helping children learn something new.
I started drawing and thinking about who these two friends could be. Little by little, their faces, personalities and story came to life. That is how Lumi and Lala were born.
Meet Lumi and Lala
Lumi is a cheerful little girl with brown curly hair and a big imagination. She is curious about everything around her and loves colors, animals, shapes and numbers. Lumi asks lots of questions because she knows that asking questions is one of the best ways to learn.
She enjoys trying new things and is always ready for another adventure.
Lala is a soft, cream-white alpaca with a light-blue scarf and a very kind heart. Lala loves music, dancing and making others feel happy.
When something is new, Lala takes the time to look, listen and learn, showing children that they do not have to learn everything at once.
Lumi loves to discover new things, and Lala makes every discovery more fun. Together, they are best friends.
Learning Through Play
One sunny morning, Lumi and Lala went for a walk through a colorful meadow. Lumi noticed three flowers growing beside the path.
“One red flower, one yellow flower and one blue flower,” she said. Lala looked at the flowers and began to sing a little song about their colors.
Soon, Lumi was singing too. She clapped her hands three times while Lala danced beside her. Together, they counted the flowers once more.
One, two, three.
Lumi and Lala had learned about colors and numbers by looking, singing, moving and playing together. That is what they love most.
Every new day gives them something else to discover. Sometimes they count stars. Sometimes they look for shapes, meet animals or learn a new word. On other days, they sing a song, dance or use their imagination to visit a wonderful new place.
Lumi and Lala always invite children to join them. Children can sing along, clap their hands, name the colors and try the answers for themselves. It is okay to get something wrong. Lumi and Lala are always happy to try one more time.
Learning should feel cheerful, comfortable and fun.
A Place for Every Child
Tiny Star Friends™ is a world where every child is welcome.
Some children love to sing. Others prefer to listen. Some children quickly call out the answer, while others like to think about it first. Lumi and Lala know that every child learns in their own way.
They want to help children feel curious and proud of every little thing they discover. They show them how much fun it can be to learn together and how important it is to be kind, share with others and help a friend.
Through their videos, stories and songs, Lumi and Lala will continue exploring the world one small adventure at a time, with new things to discover, songs to sing and games to play.
And the two little toys that inspired it all?
They still sit on my desk today, reminding me how this wonderful journey began. What started as one small idea has grown into a happy world for children everywhere.
